4 sold in last 24 hours
- 550 LB CAPACITY, 10 FT LIFT: This 1/4 ton hand chain hoist provides a 10 ft (3 m) vertical lift with a 5/32 in (4 mm) G80 alloy steel load chain.
- CONTROLLED HAND-CHAIN OPERATION: Pull the continuous hand chain to drive the geared mechanism for lifting and lowering. A dual-pawl load brake supports steady positioning.
- COMPACT STEEL BODY: Minimum headroom is 11.8 in (30 cm), with 0.79 in (20 mm) hook openings. Net weight is 8.43 lb (3.833 kg) for easier transport and setup.
- FORGED SWIVEL HOOKS: The upper and lower forged hooks rotate 360 degrees to help align the load path. Safety latches help retain properly seated rigging.
- FOR VERTICAL LIFTING ONLY: Inspect the hoist before use. Never exceed 550 lb, lift people, side-pull, tow, use as a tie-down or suspend loads over people.

A geared hand-chain drive works with a dual-pawl load brake to support controlled lifting, positioning and lowering. Stop using the hoist if operation becomes uneven.
The steel housing protects the internal gearing. The 550 lb model uses a 5/32 in (4 mm) G80 load chain; the 1,100 lb model uses a 3/16 in (5 mm) G80 load chain.
The 550 lb model weighs 8.43 lb and has 11.8 in minimum headroom. The 1,100 lb model weighs 12.10 lb and has 15.7 in minimum headroom.
Choose 550 lb (1/4 ton) or 1,100 lb (1/2 ton). Both hand chain hoists provide a 10 ft (3 m) vertical lift, steel housing, a G80 alloy steel load chain and forged swivel hooks.
What type of hoist is this and how is it operated?
This is a manual hand chain hoist, also called a chain block. Pull the continuous hand chain to drive the geared mechanism; the G80 load chain carries the suspended load. It is not a lever hoist or electric hoist.
Which rated capacity should I choose?
Choose a capacity above the total suspended load, including rigging. The 550 lb model uses a 4 mm G80 load chain with 11.8 in headroom; the 1,100 lb model uses a 5 mm chain with 15.7 in headroom. Both provide a 10 ft lift.
How do the swivel hooks and dual-pawl brake work?
The forged upper and lower hooks rotate 360 degrees for alignment and include safety latches. The dual-pawl load brake supports controlled lifting, positioning and lowering within the rated capacity.
Can this hoist side-pull, tow vehicles or secure cargo?
No. This hand chain hoist is for stationary vertical lifting only. Do not side-pull, drag, tow or recover vehicles, use it as a tie-down, lift people or suspend loads over people.
What should I inspect before every lift?
Inspect the steel housing, gears, brake, hand chain, G80 load chain, forged hooks and safety latches before every use. Stop if parts are damaged, worn, or operating unevenly.
