- 2-IN-1 DETHATCHER AND SCARIFIER: The TaskStar lawn dethatcher includes scarifying and dethatching cylinders. The scarifier loosens soil for root growth; the dethatcher removes dead grass and thatch to improve airflow. Quick-release switch, no tools needed-also works as a dethatcher rake for routine lawn maintenance
- POWERFUL 15-AMP MOTOR: A 15-amp motor reaches 3500 RPM across a 16-inch path. This electric dethatcher and power dethatcher doubles as a power rake for efficient thatch removal. The corded dethatcher design ensures consistent power without battery limits. Built-in overload protection prevents motor damage
- INCLUDES BONUS THATCH RAKE: Unlike other electric dethatchers, the TaskStar includes a bonus adjustable thatch rake (length: 55"83.5", width 7.9"17.3") for tight corners and edges. It doubles as a dethatching rake and thatching rake for spot touch-ups. This dethatcher rake set is a specialized tool, not a lawnmower
- LIGHTWEIGHT AND EASY TO STORE: At 28lbs, this dethatcher maneuvers easily around garden beds and trees. The foldable handlebar enables compact storage. The 14.5-gallon collection bag, cord clip, and strain relief simplify operation. Functions as a lawn aerator alternative and handles dethatching rake and turf rake tasks. Tool-free assembly in minutes
- 5-POSITION DEPTH ADJUSTMENT: Adjust working depth with 5 positions from -1/2" to +1/4" (Note: maintain grass height at 1.97 inches, mow taller grass beforehand for smooth operation). The 3-position handlebar suits different user heights. This thatcher for lawn and dethatching machine lets you match depth to your lawn type and season. As a lawn dethatcher, it delivers precise control year-round
- OPTIONAL 14.5-GAL COLLECTION BAG: This thatcher for lawn comes with a 14.5-gallon collection bag for small-area dethatching work. The collection bag is optional; for larger working areas, it is recommended to remove the collection bag. After finishing the operation, use the included thatch rake to clear the thatch loosened by the scarifier
- SPECIALIZED LAWN MAINTENANCE TOOL: This device is not a lawnmower but a specialized tool for removing debris and dead grass to maintain a healthy lawn. 24/7 after-sales support is available to assist with any questions or concerns you may have about the product

Overload Protection
The collection bag fills way too fast. Is something wrong?
No — it works well. Fast-filling bag means efficient thatch removal. This lawn dethatcher comes with a 14.5-gal bag, great for small areas. Bag optional: take it off for large yards. Use the included thatch rake to clean up loosened thatch after use.
Is this a lawnmower? Can it cut grass?
No, it’s not a lawn mower. The TaskStar dethatcher uses vertical tines/steel blades that dig into soil, unlike a mower’s horizontal spinning blade. Keep grass ≤1.97 in. Mow taller grass first for smooth operation.
Is assembly easy or complicated? Do I need any tools?
It's easy to assemble, takes about 10 minutes, no tools needed. All hardware (bolts, knobs, washers) are included in the box.
My lawn is about 2000 sq ft. Will this work? How long will it take?
Yes — suitable for residential lawns up to 1⁄2 acre (20,000 sq ft). Estimated working time: 500–1,000 sq ft: 20–30 min; 1,000–2,000 sq ft: 30–45 min; 2,000–5,000 sq ft: 1–1.5 hrs; 5,000–10,000 sq ft: 2–3 hrs; 10,000–20,000 sq ft: 3–5 hrs.
Does it need an extension cord? What kind of extension cord do I need?
Yes. Wrong cords are the #1 motor failure cause. TaskStar 15A motor needs thick outdoor cords for full safe power.
